fix duplicate windows in windows xp's taskbar

I encountered the problem as described by another guy,

"After a power outage and rebooting my computer, in only my user account, the taskbar has managed to duplicate the open programs toolbar. Is there a way i can remove this extra toolbar. In the right-click menu of the toolbar it does not give me the remove option like all the other toolbars. I'd like to avoid making a new user account. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Jeremy"

Some savvy came with the recipe,

"Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, Process Tab, end all explorer.exe and iexplore.exe processes .

Type regedit in File - Rum

Delete these three keys.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckR-ects2
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Stream-s
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Stream-sMRU

Back in Task Manager choose Shutdown menu - Reboot. "

I have tried following this way, and it works pretty well. But didn't verify whether a single reboot stroke will do the job.
